59th International Conference – Futura Colloquia

On the 21st and 22nd of June 2024, the I.S.E.O. Institute organized the 2nd edition of the “Futura Colloquia” project, an initiative co-promoted and co-financed jointly with the Camera di Commercio di Brescia. This event was designed to provide a forum for in-depth discussions on the major themes of the global economy, themes affecting and having a wide impact also on the economic and entrepreneurial sector of the province of Brescia. The conference was focused on topics related to sustainable economics and to the challenges to the future of work, aiming to explore practical applications and implications also for the local community.

The two-day conference hosted at the stunning Palazzo Lana – Berlucchi Winery in Franciacorta was a resounding success. Both days were marked by a full audience, drawing in a diverse group of local entrepreneurs. Their presence made for a truly engaging and dynamic event, featuring interesting discussions, networking opportunities, and valuable insights for all participants.

The panel of speakers included a group of highly esteemed experts from around the world: Marco Magnani (professor of Economics, Luiss Guido Carli, University of Sacred Heart Milan); Elena Verdolini (professor of Economics and climate economist, University of Brescia); Ettore Prandini (president of Coldiretti); Riccardo Valentini (Nobel Laureate for Peace 2007, professor of Forest Ecology, Università della Tuscia); Elza Bontempi (professor of Chemistry, Università di Brescia; top Italian Scientist in Natural & Environmental Sciences, INSTM and Chemistry for Technologies Laboratory); Carl Frey (director of the program “AI & Work”, Oxford University); Robert Engle (Nobel Laureate in Economics 2003, professor of Finance at Stern Business School NY University).
